It would go in one ear and out the other if I told him it was either pills or the doctor! If I can't force him to take pills, I most certainly can't force him to go to the doctor! LOL Thank the Lord my husband almost never gets sick!

I guess everyone is different. My kidney pain was always just a dull, lower-back pain. Actually, one time it was so bad on my right SIDE that I ended up in the hospital cause we thought I had appendicitus. That was when Mike and I were dating.Found out it was a really bad kidney infection. But I didn't think of that, because I had never had that severe pain with it before, and not on the side.

I was going to say I didn't know that a UTI and bladder infection were the same, but I did a search first. :) Here is some interesting info. http://www.drreddy.com/uti.html
Looks like there's 4 different kinds of UTIs...

Well, they say you learn something new every day. That was my new one for the day! :)

Glad your husband is feeling better! (Oh, and it doesn't sound like the coffee would be the culprit.) :)Murfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10402687125790664391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15841782.post-1158185876676695752006-09-13T17:17:00.000-05:002006-09-13T17:17:00.000-05:00Murf...LOL about your husband taking death over pi...Murf...

LOL about your husband taking death over pills!! The pills Toby took weren't stomach upsetting -- except for the B6. I just made sure he ate when he took those.

Other than that, he does really well actually. It seems to scare him enough to down any number of pills I have for him when I tell him it's either this or the doctor. :) Maybe you should try that on your hubby. lol

I believe a bladder infection and UTI are the same thing. I know what you mean about kidney pain. That pain is definitely distinctly different from the pain he was having in his back. It was just a dull lower back ache -- nothing real bad like a KI would be.

Yes, he does need to cut the coffee. :) But he drinks WAY less coffee than he does pop so we're working on the pop right now and then maybe we'll start on the coffee. Actually, I don't think he drinks enough coffee for it to be a problem. (like maybe 1-2 cups a week.)

By the way, Toby is doing much better and has totally revived. It was either my prayers or my pills that did it. :) (probably both -- no, I think it was the prayer...)

Thanks for your two cents worth of suggestion. I take all I can get. :)The Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11267368729189076910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15841782.post-1158119872935444052006-09-12T22:57:00.000-05:002006-09-12T22:57:00.000-05:00eeeeewwwww! Poor man! I got a stomach ache just fr...eeeeewwwww! Poor man! I got a stomach ache just from READING about all those pills! GAG! :) He surely is more patient than my hubby! Mine would say he'd rather DIE than swallow all that. And I think he would mean it! :) I'm going great if I can get 3 or 4 pills down his throat ~ one at a time. He doesn't swallow half a dozen or more at a time, like I do! :) Anyway, good luck! It surely should do SOMETHING! :)

By the way, did you think about kidney or bladder infection? Those can be soooo nasty! The back hurting would sound like kidney to me. I've had plenty of those in my life time! Then again, all you've pumped into him should cure that, too. :)

Oh, and by the way No. 2 ~ he should cut the coffee, too. :)

There's my two bits. :)Murfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10402687125790664391noreply@blogger.com
